Well Hello Elizabeth Swann – See the Return of Swann in NEW in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5’ Trailer!

The pirates life has ALWAYS been for her…

Pirates fans rejoiced when it was announced that Orlando Bloom’s character Will Turner would be returning for the franchise fifth installment. Though it left fans wondering if the franchise’s only smart (she really was so much better at being a pirate than Will and Jack) pirate would be making an appearance – aka Elizabeth Swann – or is it, Elizabeth Turner? Who knows?

The lack of Swann in the fifth installment would not be surprising since the last we saw the star-crossed lovers, Will Turn was taking over as captain of the Flying Dutchman where he is eternally cursed and can only come to shore every 10 years for one night. The storyline with Turner could simply not even involve Swann at all BUT it was kind of announced via a featurette at Elizabeth and Will’s son, Henry (played by Brenton Thwaites) is a main character so it makes sense that we would see Swann even if it is just in passing.

Though until the international trailer was released, the idea of Elizabeth Swann in the fifth Pirates was only a dream! We now know that Swann WILL IN FACT be in the film and you can see her for a matter of seconds in the international trailer below…

I have been VERY vocal about my love for Pirates and my worry for the fifth installment but with both Turner and Swann at least making appearance maybe the franchise can give fans a beautiful goodbye. Another positive is that the film is reportedly going back to Curse of the Black Pearl roots based off early reviews from CinemaCon. That is literally music to my ears because I think we can all agree that Black Pearl was pretty f*!king perfect!

Who is excited to see both Will Turn and Elizabeth Swann make in action on the high-seas?
